Another boating
season has come and gone in the Thousand Islands. The frost is heavy in the
mornings and snow has appeared in the higher elevations. As we did our fall
clean up a few members stepped up and graciously donated their time and
services to Headquarters. Special thanks to Sarah and Murray Gould of the
Manotick Chapter for refurbishing our Headquarters sign on the front of the
building. It once again looks as new as the day it arrived. Also, thank you
to Dave Ryel for his help with the landscaping.
Its time to think
about renewals. We will try to have the renewals in the mail the beginning
of November. In order to reduce postage costs, for the first time in many
years we will use a bulk mailing process. Please contact Headquarters if you
have not received your renewal by the end of November.
Headquarters has
some remaining tee-shirts from the annual meeting. If you would like to
purchase a few as gifts please contact us. They are $10 each and we still
have a selection of sizes to choose from. Also, please don’t forget our
Ship’s Store when shopping for Christmas. Most items are shipped the same
day and arrive at your home in just a few days.
This winter we will hold our quarterly meeting in Sarasota, Florida. As
plans are being finalized we hope to include a trip to the Chris-Craft
plant. The dates are set for January 8th-11th, 2004. Please drop us a line
if you’d like to receive more information. Everyone is welcome to the
meetings.
