Indiana’s Lake James Boat and Car Show was the 8th Annual Antique & Classic Boat & Car Show.

Again this year at the Old Boat House Marina on Lake James near the Jimmerson Lake Bridge, the show included artists, music, and vendors. And of course antique and classic boats and cars.

Thanks to Mike McBride for sending these pictures for us to share in the excitement of the day.  Mike says, ” It was a great show. This was our 8th ACBS boat show. We enjoyed the beautiful boats, cars, and the vendors added fun for all. We love our lake and want everyone to experience the event and welcome participates for next year!”

Jeff Funk, a member of the Indiana Chapter had this to say about the show;

“We had approximately sixty boats, most in average user condition.  There were only a few that didn’t look like they’d float for long, and only a few 95+ point boats.  Everything else was soup-to-nuts, from classic mahogany to classic glass, and even two aluminum boats.  The variety was impressive.  More than 3000 people attended, of all ages. The succes was due to our Chapter President promoting the show as an ‘all are welcome’ show with no judging, no awards…only fun.  We had classic cars of all vintages, more than a dozen non-boating vendors, a band, a junk food alley section, and a Chris-Craft mock-up made out of plywood where kids were able to sit in a chair behind the mock-up and parents could take family photos that appear as though the kids were driving the boat.  It was a HUGE hit, and young families were waiting in line.  We also had a great welcome/information booth to answer questions and provide material and membership information for those interested in getting involved in the hobby.”
